School groups:<\/strong> $10 per student, taxes included.

General Information<\/strong><\/h1>\n

What is the difference between a school group and an adult group?<\/span><\/summary>

A school group is a class or student group visiting the exhibition together with one or more teachers or professors as part of a school, CEGEP, or university outing.<\/p>\n

An adult group might be a group of friends, students, co-workers, tourists, club members, or retirees planning a visit together as a shared activity. Many groups make the exhibition part of a social get-together, team event, or university outing\u2014for work or on their own time.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

Payment options<\/span><\/summary>

For practical reasons and to keep things simple, we do not accept payment before the day of your visit.<\/p>\n

To pay on site:<\/strong> one credit card payment for the entire group on the day of your visit.<\/p>\n

To pay after your visit:<\/strong> cheque or electronic transfer. Payment details will be included on the invoice we send you.<\/p>\n

You may prefer not to make a single payment for your entire group. If you would rather have your students pay individually at the door, or if your group ends up with fewer than 10 students, you\u2019ll instead use regular ticketing, where student tickets are $13.50 + tax.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

Do you offer guided group visits?<\/span><\/summary>

When your group arrives for its reserved visit, you\u2019ll receive an introduction to the exhibitions and a reminder of our visitor guidelines.
\nThe rest of your visit is self-guided. Each photo is accompanied by explanatory text in French and English, with additional commentary from the photographers available in 14 languages via QR codes throughout the exhibition.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

Adult and other non-school groups<\/span><\/summary>

Groups of 10 or more can use the same booking calendar as school groups\u2014just select the adult group rate ($13 per person, taxes included).

Booking a school group visit<\/b><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Where can I find your booking calendar?<\/span><\/summary>

Access our booking calendar here<\/a>.<\/span>
\nChoose the date and time slot for your visit. Once you\u2019ve made your selection, enter the number of students in your group. A minimum of 10 students is required to qualify for the group rate.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

Early access for school groups<\/span><\/summary>

School groups with a reservation can enter from 9 a.m., Monday to Friday.
\nFor all other visitors, doors open at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

How do I choose a time slot?<\/span><\/summary>

In the booking calendar, select the month, date, and time for your group\u2019s visit. Use the arrows to move through the weeks and months.
\nEach day is divided into nine time slots between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Click the time slot you want to see how many spaces are still available.
\nIf a time slot doesn\u2019t appear, it is fully booked.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

How long does a visit take?<\/span><\/summary>

A visit takes about 90 minutes, including check-in and orientation (introduction and visitor guidelines), plus time to see all the exhibitions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

Do I need to arrive at my reserved time?<\/span><\/summary>

Yes. Other groups will have reservations too, so please choose a time slot that reflects your expected arrival time and plan to arrive at the time shown in your booking.
\nIf you come outside your reserved time slot\u2014early, or late without prior notice\u2014we\u2019ll do our best to accommodate you, but we can\u2019t guarantee it. During busy periods, you may need to wait before entering, or we may ask you to split your group into smaller groups.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

What if I\u2019m booking for a large group (60+ students)?<\/span><\/summary>

For groups of 60 students or more, we recommend choosing a time slot between 9 and 10:30 a.m., when we open early specifically for school groups.
\nIf your group has more than 250 students, you can reserve a 9\u201310:30 a.m. time slot. If a morning visit isn\u2019t possible, we recommend splitting your group across several time slots.
\nIf neither option works for you, email us at info@wppmtl.ca<\/span>. We\u2019ll do our best to accommodate you.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

What if there isn\u2019t enough space in the time slot I want?<\/span><\/summary>

What if I don\u2019t know exactly when my group will arrive?<\/span><\/summary>

It can be hard to predict the exact arrival time of a group travelling by school bus or transit. When booking, choose the time slot that best matches your estimated arrival, and mention any possible delay in the Notes section as you complete your booking form.
\nAs your visit approaches, you can email us at info@wppmtl.ca to confirm a more precise arrival time. On the day of your visit, Monday to Friday, you can also call us at 514-581-0281.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

Payment and invoicing<\/strong><\/h2>\n

No advance payment<\/span><\/summary>

For practical reasons and to keep things simple, we don\u2019t accept payment before the day of your visit.
\nIf you pay after your visit, we\u2019ll send you an invoice to forward to your administration. Payment can be made by cheque or electronic transfer, based on actual attendance.
\nIf you reschedule or cancel your visit, you won\u2019t be charged for the original booking.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

Teachers and classes looking to get more from their visit can download a free guide for students, featuring questions and observations to encourage reflection and spark discussion about the photos on display.

Teachers, professors, and chaperones: we need your help<\/span><\/summary>

We\u2019re delighted to welcome school groups and ask everyone to follow a few guidelines while you\u2019re here. Our team will go over these with you to help teachers and chaperones keep things running smoothly, from the time your group enters the exhibition, throughout the visit, and as your group leaves.
\nWe encourage teachers and chaperones to take an active role in supporting an environment where everyone can take in the images and reflect on the issues they bear witness to.
\nPlease also let your students know they\u2019re welcome to ask us questions, share their thoughts and reactions, and tell us which photo made the biggest impression on them.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

Visit guidelines<\/span><\/summary>

The exhibition space is much like a museum. You\u2019re welcome to speak quietly during your visit, while remaining considerate of other visitors\u2019 experience. Please don\u2019t run, and don\u2019t squeeze between the display panels.
\nWe ask students to leave their backpacks in our designated area or on the bus, avoid touching the panels, and help maintain a quiet atmosphere.
\nPlease don\u2019t lean against walls, columns, or display panels, or use them as a backing when writing on worksheets.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n

Are we allowed to take photos?<\/span><\/summary>

Yes. Students may take photos, as long as they\u2019re mindful of other visitors.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n
