Lou-Pascal Tremblay spokeperson for the 19th edition of the Montreal World Press Photo Exhibition
From August 26 to October 12 2026 at Bonsecours Market

Montreal, Tuesday, May 19, 2026 – The Montreal World Press Photo exhibition’s team is pleased to announce that Lou-Pascal Tremblay will serve as spokesperson for its 19th edition, to be held at Bonsecours Market from August 26 to October 12. The actor and director will also serve as curator for the exhibition En pointillé, Cégep du Vieux Montréal, featuring 28 student projects centred on four themes selected by Lou-Pascal Tremblay.
“The World Press Photo exhibition has been part of my life for nearly ten years. Some of the images I saw years ago are still etched in my mind with unsettling clarity. They’ve shaped the way I look at the world, my understanding of it, and my ability not to look away. Being this year’s spokesperson is way beyond simply feeling honoured. It’s a privilege to lend my name alongside photographers who, across the globe, bear witness with courage, integrity, and humanity to the world as they see it.” says Lou-Pascal Tremblay.
“We are delighted to welcome Lou-Pascal as an ambassador for our 19th edition. We appreciate his perspective, sensitivity, and sincerity, which perfectly reflect the exhibitions on display: human and authentic. His involvement in selecting the images to be featured in the En pointillé exhibition will undoubtedly enrich the visitors’ experience.” notes Yann Fortier, Executive Director, Expo World Press Photo Montreal

The World Press Photo Montreal exhibition team is opening its space to 28 student projects from the Photography program at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal. Selected from 87 series produced as part of the auteur documentary course in 2024 and 2025, these projects form a journey marked by powerful images and sensitive subjects, reflecting today’s realities and concerns. Lou-Pascal Tremblay selected four themes that will be further highlighted in this exhibition, presented in collaboration with instructors Dominique Lafond, Marjorie Guindon, and Myriam Gaumond.
