WILLIAM DANIELS [2015]

Exhibition by William Daniels, recipient of the 2014 World Press Photo Awards

Cotonou, Republic of Benin

For a second consecutive year, visitors will get to discover an original Oxfam-Québec exhibition, bearing witness to and reflecting on the mission and results of international cooperation carried out by the organization in some of the world’s most disadvantaged territories.

In August 2014, French photographer William Daniels travelled to Cotonou in the Republic of Benin to capture and share images of youth benefiting from the support of the organization and its volunteers in terms of reintegration. He is the recipient of two World Press Photo Awards (2008 and 2014), as well as the Picture of the Year prize (2008) for his work entitled Mauvais air. He has most notably contributed to National Geographic, Time, Newsweek, the New York Times and Le Monde.
